NexGEnt Production Marks Six Years, Looks Ahead to Bigger Projects
Manila, Philippines – 2025
NexGEnt Production is celebrating its sixth year in the industry, marking a journey that began in 2019 as a small film production company and has since evolved into one of the country’s most active names in cosplay and pop-culture events.
The company’s first major foray into events came in 2023, when it assisted in organizing CosHabatsu 2023 alongside lead organizer Persona Vista. Since then, NexGEnt has gone on to launch its own successful conventions, including Cosplay Street 2024 and Cosplay Street 2025, which drew thousands of attendees.
Fans who have joined these events say NexGEnt has created a much-needed platform for the local community. “I’ve met so many friends at Cosplay Street,” said 22-year-old fan Lara Mendoza. “These events make you feel like you belong, whether you’re a veteran cosplayer or just someone curious about anime.”
Looking ahead, NexGEnt has outlined ambitious projects:
AniMaZE!, a free pop-culture expo that aims to be accessible to fans of all ages.
MAniFest (Manila Anime Festival), billed as its largest convention to date.
Project KNITE, a long-term initiative to cultivate Filipino VTubers and Vocaloid-style digital talents by 2030.
Concert productions, set to debut by 2025, which will bring large-scale music events inspired by anime and pop culture to the country.
Industry observers note that NexGEnt’s growth reflects the expanding demand for organized, large-scale fan gatherings in the Philippines. As the company moves into its seventh year, its projects are expected to shape the local anime and cosplay scene for years to come.
